Christmas at the Stadium: Spreading Joy to Those Who Need It Most

Go Media is proud to bring the spirit of the season to life with Christmas at the Stadium – a heartwarming event dedicated to supporting those in our community who need it most. This special day is made possible through incredible partnerships with local businesses and generous sponsors, including One NZ, The Warriors, and the Kindness Collective. Together, they are creating a memorable experience filled with festive cheer, delicious food, and heartfelt giving.

A Celebration of Community and Generosity

Christmas can be a difficult time for many families, and Christmas at the Stadium aims to alleviate some of that stress by providing a day where the community can come together and share in the joy of the season. From thoughtful gifts to a delicious holiday meal, the event is all about kindness, connection, and ensuring everyone can celebrate.

What Went Down

The stadium was buzzing with festive spirit as families and individuals joined us to enjoy a day of giving and celebration. Here’s what happened:

  • Delicious Holiday Kai: Thanks to the generous support of Go Media and Ovation, a delicious meal as served, bringing warmth and nourishment to all who attended.
  • Gifts and Giveaways: Our wonderful sponsors, including One NZ, The One NZ Warriors Foundation, and the Kindness Collective, have come together to donate items that brought smiles to children and families alike. From thoughtful gifts to exciting giveaways, it’s all about spreading joy.
  • The One NZ Warriors Foundation, Otara Bluelight, and South Auckland Christian Food Bank identified 400 whānau to support, ensuring the help reached those who needed it most.
  • Additionally, Auckland FC donated 400 tickets, spreading even more cheer and opportunities for celebration.

A Shared Effort to Make a Difference

This event wouldn’t be possible without the unwavering support of our incredible partners. Their dedication to helping those in need showcases the power of collective action. They are showing that small gestures of kindness can create lasting impacts during a time when it matters most.

“The holiday season should be a time of joy for everyone, regardless of their circumstances,” said Scott Couch, Acting Director of Auckland Stadiums, Tātaki Auckland Unlimited. “We are happy to support such a great cause and what better place to have Christmas than right here at Go Media Stadium.”

Mike Gray, founder of Go Media, echoed this sentiment: “Christmas at the Stadium is about creating special moments for those who might need them most. It’s a privilege to collaborate with such caring and committed partners to bring joy and connection to our community.”

Looking Ahead

As we close out the year, Christmas at the Stadium is a reflection of what’s possible when a community unites to lift each other up. It’s a way of ensuring everyone has the chance to experience the love, warmth, and joy that this season represents.

To our sponsors, volunteers, and attendees, thank you. Your kindness makes all the difference. Together, we’re proving that the spirit of Christmas isn’t about what you have – it’s about what you share.
