Laneway Festival makes its long-awaited return to Aotearoa in 2025, with the festival taking place on Waitangi Day at Western Springs Stadium in Auckland.

St Jerome’s Laneway Festival in Auckland in 2025 will be a strictly 16+ event.

So that we can provide a secure and safe environment for everyone, Laneway Festival are implementing a Youth Policy for 2025, which will form part of our Conditions of Entry. 

In summary, the minimum age requirement to attend St Jerome’s Laneway Festival in Auckland for 2025 will be 16 years of age (that is, 16 years as at the date of the event: Thursday 6 February 2025).

Accepted ID for 16 and 17 year olds attending St Jerome’s Laneway Festival in Auckland will be as follows:

  • New Zealand Photo Driver’s Licence or Learner’s Permit; or
  • Passport from any country (either current or expired less than 2 years ago and has not been cancelled); or
  • Student ID Card (MUST have both your photo and your date of birth on it)
  • Birth Certificate (certified copy is okay) PLUS a Current Photo ID. We must be able to verify both your age and your photo ID, we cannot accept one without the other.

Anyone who fails to present an Accepted ID upon entry will not be allowed into St Jerome’s Laneway Festival. No refunds will be processed for anyone who is denied entry because they did not bring Accepted ID.

There is no requirement for 16 and 17 year olds to be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian at this event.

The Conditions of Entry and Ticketing Terms & Conditions apply to everyone attending St Jerome’s Laneway Festival. The promoter reserves the right to evict any persons engaging in illegal activities (for 16 and 17 years olds, this includes trying to purchase or consuming alcohol).

This will be confirmed closer to the event. Please refer to your ticket and enter only via the gate shown on your ticket. Stadiums staff, volunteers and wayfinding signage will assist you with directions upon arriving at the venue. If you try to enter the venue at the wrong entrance point, you will be redirected to the correct gate which will delay your entry into the Festival. 

Public transport options to the stadium include bus and train. Visit the Auckland Transport website for information. 

Their will be regular Auckland Transport bus & rail services to and from the event on the day.

In the interest of patron safety, there will be some road closures in place for this event. Please allow extra travel time around the Western Springs precinct. 

Affected roads include Stadium Drive, Bullock Track, Great North Road, and Old Mill Road.

There is no onsite parking provided for this event. Limited parking may be available on the streets and businesses surrounding Western Springs Stadium. Please be mindful of our neighbours and be vigilant before parking on private property.

Western Springs Stadium is a mobility friendly venue with limited onsite mobility parking available. To book your mobility parking spot please fill out the Mobility Request Form here. Once you have filled out the form you will receive an email with detailed parking instructions closer to the event date.   

The dedicated mobility entrance is located on Stadium Road. There will be mobility volunteers onsite to assist with golf carts to help get you to your seat once inside the venue. You can identify our friendly mobility volunteers by their blue hi-vis jackets.  

Bag and coat check are located outside the main entry gate on Stadium Road. Please ensure you check the venue Conditions of Entry for more info on what can and can’t be brought into the venue.

No. Laneway Festival is licensed to sell food & drinks and provides great, well-stocked bars. All bags are searched on arrival. If you have specific food allergies or medical requirements, please complete the accessibility request Form

Banners/flags (without poles) and posters from cloth, cardboard or paper are permitted. Signs must not be larger than A3 size. Venue management, Laneway Festival organisers, or security staff may refuse any flags/signs at their discretion. 

No, umbrellas are not permitted for a concert at the stadium.

Pass Outs refer to leaving the festival throughout the day, then returning at a later time. There are NO Pass Outs on the day. If you choose to leave the Festival at any point, you will not be admitted back in. There will be more than enough food, drinks, amenities and of course, music to keep going all day. 

Yes there is merchandise available to purchase within the venue. Check out the site map for location information. 

Yes. Unless specifically stated, Laneway Festival will go ahead rain, hail or snow, unless the event site is deemed unsafe by the relevant authorities.. Western Springs Stadium is predominately an uncovered venue so please be prepared with a poncho or raincoat should wet weather be forecasted.

For the wellbeing and safety of our patrons, camping inside or directly outside the venue prior to event day is not permitted. There are no facilities or security outside the venue to support overnight camping. No priority entry will be given to anyone camping outside the venue prior to event day.

Found: Please take any found items to Festival staff.

Lost: If you misplace something please check with gate staff on the day as things will be turned in there. Alternatively, please email auckland@lanewayfestival.com.au and we will do our very best to help you.

For all taxi and rideshare drop offs, including Uber, please use the top of Great North Road (towards Grey Lynn).
