Laneway Festival makes its lreturn to Aotearoa in 2025, with the festival taking place on Waitangi Day at Western Springs Stadium in Auckland.

The 20th edition of the Trans-Tasman touring festival is dripping with some of the most exciting artists from around the world – acts at the top of their game and new ground-breaking talent.

Laneway Festival is taking place at Western Springs Stadium. You can find directions to the venue here.   

Gates open at 12.30pm with the event finishing at 10pm.

Laneway Festival in Auckland in 2025 will be a 18+ event.

Accepted ID for ALL patrons attending Laneway Festival in Auckland will be as follows:

18+ Ticketholders:

- Any current & valid passport; or

- A current New Zealand photo driver licence; or

- A Hospitality NZ 18+ Card - New 18+ Cards are no longer available but existing 18+ Cards continue to be valid ID for 10 years from the date of issue; or

- A current & valid Kiwi Access Card 

Anyone who fails to present an Accepted ID upon entry will not be allowed into Laneway Festival. No refunds will be processed for anyone who is denied entry because they did not bring Accepted ID.

Any misuse, or falsification, of ID will be referred to the police.

The Box Office is located at the event entrance on Stadium Road. The Box Office opens at 12pm.

This will be confirmed closer to the event. Please refer to your ticket and enter only via the gate shown on your ticket. Stadiums staff, volunteers and wayfinding signage will assist you with directions upon arriving at the venue. If you try to enter the venue at the wrong entrance point, you will be redirected to the correct gate which will delay your entry into the Festival. 

Public transport options to the stadium include bus and train. Visit the Auckland Transport website for information. 

Their will be regular Auckland Transport bus & rail services to and from the event on the day.

Taxis & Uber

The taxi and rideshare drop off zone, including Uber, is outside Western Springs Park on Great North Road.

Western Springs Stadium is a mobility friendly venue. To book an accessible ticket or enquire around accessibility seating please fill out this form.

If you haven't recieved your ticket or confirmation email, please double check the email address you entered when purchasing your ticket, and check your junk/spam folders. There is no onsite parking provided for this event. Limited parking may be available on the streets and businesses surrounding Western Springs Stadium. Please be mindful of our neighbours and be vigilant before parking on private property. 

Please be aware that some surrounding streets will be closed during the event. 

In the interest of patron safety, there will be some road closures in place for this event. Please allow extra travel time around the Western Springs precinct. Affected roads are: 

  • Stadium Road (Entire Road) - Wednesday 29 Jan from 7am until Monday 10 Feb from 5pm  
  • Bullock Track (Entire Road) - Thursday 6 Feb from 12pm until Friday 7 Feb at 2am 
  • Great North Road (St Luke’s Road to Surrey Crescent) - Thursday 6 Feb from 8:30pm until Friday 7 Feb at 2am 
  • Tuarangi Road (Wexford Road to Great North Road) - Thursday 6 Feb from 8:30pm until Friday 7 Feb at 2am 
  • SH16 Off-ramp (East Bound) - Thursday 6 Feb from 8:00pm until Friday 7 Feb at 2am

Access to your businesses or property

If your business premises is within a road closure, your employees will still be able to access your premises. If staff are not driving a branded vehicle, please provide them with a form of identification such as a company uniform, letterhead or business card to present to traffic controllers/ Police / security at the road closure point.   

If your property is within a road closure, you will need to provide proof of address at the road closure point. 

In the interest of patron and public safety, there will be parking restrictions in the following areas on event day:

  • Great North Road
    • Northern and Southern Kerb (Surrey Crescent to 668 Great North Road): Drop-off/pick-up P5 from Thursday 6 Feb 10am – 12am 
    • Northern and Southern Kerb (668 Great North Road to Bullock Track): No stopping from Thursday 6 Feb 10am – 12am
    • Southern Kerb (Motions Road to St Luke’s Road): No stopping from Thursday 6 Feb 10am – 12am
    • Northern Kerb (Motions Road to St Luke’s Road): Temporary Bus stop/bus parking only from Thursday 6 Feb 10am – 12am
    • Northern Kerb (Premier Ave to Motions Road): No stopping from Thursday 10am – 12am 
  • Old Mill Road Northern Kerb (Motions Road to Savage Street): No stopping from Thursday 6 Feb 10am – 12am 
  • Motions Road (Great North Road to Auckland Zoo): No stopping from Thursday 6 Feb 10am – 12am
  • Tuarangi Road (Wexford Street to Great North Road): No stopping Thursday 6 Feb 10am – 12am 

Please plan ahead for your journey and use public transport where possible.

Western Springs Stadium is a mobility friendly venue with limited onsite mobility parking available. To book your mobility parking spot please fill out the Mobility Request Form here. Once you have filled out the form you will receive an email with detailed parking instructions closer to the event date.   

The dedicated mobility entrance is located on Stadium Road. There will be mobility volunteers onsite to assist with golf carts to help get you to your seat once inside the venue. You can identify our friendly mobility volunteers by their blue hi-vis jackets.  

Bag and coat check are located inside the main entry gate on Stadium Road. Please ensure you check the venue Conditions of Entry for more info on what can and can’t be brought into the venue.

Banners/flags (without poles) and posters from cloth, cardboard or paper are permitted. Signs must not be larger than A3 size. Venue management, Laneway Festival organisers, or security staff may refuse any flags/signs at their discretion.

No. Laneway Festival is licensed to sell food & drinks and provides great, well-stocked bars. All bags are searched on arrival. If you have specific food allergies or medical requirements, please complete the accessibility request form

Pass Outs refer to leaving the festival throughout the day, then returning at a later time. There are NO Pass Outs on the day. If you choose to leave the Festival at any point, you will not be admitted back in. There will be more than enough food, drinks, amenities and of course, music to keep going all day. 

Yes. Unless specifically stated, Laneway Festival will go ahead rain, hail or snow, unless the event site is deemed unsafe by the relevant authorities.. Western Springs Stadium is predominately an uncovered venue so please be prepared with a poncho or raincoat should wet weather be forecasted.

For the wellbeing and safety of our patrons, camping inside or directly outside the venue prior to event day is not permitted. There are no facilities or security outside the venue to support overnight camping. No priority entry will be given to anyone camping outside the venue prior to event day.

No, umbrellas are not permitted for a concert at the stadium.

Lost: If you misplace something please check with gate staff on the day as things will be turned in there. Alternatively, please email auckland@lanewayfestival.com.au and we will do our very best to help you.
